The WiFi Body Scale by Withings is VERY EXPENSIVE – does it deserve the price tag? Is it a rip off? We borrowed one from a reader and put it to the test (thanks Dave!). Read more to find out what we thought..
Personally, we’re surprised Withings can find people to buy their scale with a price tag of over $1000, but.. you know, to each their own. I certainly wish I had that kind of money to blow on a simple bathrooms scale! That said, we were VERY impressed by the unit we tested, so if you’re after the best, this is certainly up there!
Withings WiFi Body Scale looks absolutely stunning, and it feels rock solid. The build quality is by far the best we’ve ever tested, no doubt about it! If I could keep it, I would (hint hint Dave..). The screen is very easy to read and doesn’t suffer glare that other scales sometimes seem to have. The output has a different feel to it, it’s almost as if it’s being front-lit (though it’s not). The aesthetics of the scale itself are great, with it sitting quite low to the ground, it should blend in with nice bathroom tiles easily.
The accuracy was spot on, couldn’t be better! The body fat measurement seemed to be about as accurate as possible for a bioelectrical impedance scale (which is fairly reliable). Integration with MyFitnessPal and other Apps is a definite plus!
Frankly, we don’t know why the scale has such mixed reviews on Amazon.. perhaps it’s buyers remorse? Or perhaps people were expecting it to be gold plates for the price! Whatever the case.. there is nothing to fault about the device.
Read the last sentence of the last paragraph. There’s nothing bad about the Withings WiFi Body Scale, though the price is pretty steep!
When I win the lottery, the Withings WiFi Body Scale is the scale I’ll be buying. Period. I love it, the only reason I’m not getting rid of my Aria and getting one right now.. is the price. If price is no objection, and you’re looking for a top-of-the-line body fat scale, buy this today, it’s a fantastic piece of kit!
You are advertising Amazon products and obviously most expensive has the most stars.
But you forgot about Garmin Index!!!
Hi Fuad, most often we find when it comes to scales that you get what you pay for. We will look into getting a Garmin Index so we can provide a review for you.
I have been surfing online more than 4 hours today, yet
I never found any interesting article like yours.
It is pretty worth enough for me. In my opinion, if all web owners and bloggers made good content as you did, the web will be a lot more
useful than ever before.
