It’s great that Computex is back in physical form this year, even if it is on a much smaller scale than before. Let’s hope that the show will return to its former glories next year!
During the event, the VIA SOM-9X35 and VIA SOM-9X50 AIoT platforms will be on display at the MediaTek private booth located at the 6F exhibition hall at Eslite Xinyi. Please contact us to set up an appointment to view them.
The VIA SOM-9X35 and VIA SOM-9X50 AIoT platforms are based on the recently announced MediaTek Genio 350 and Genio 500 SoCs. Both platforms are designed to accelerate the development of camera-based commercial, retail, and industrial Edge AI devices for applications ranging from smart access control and security devices to vending machines and helmet detection systems.
When paired with the VAB-935 and VAB-950 carrier boards, the two platforms support dual MIPI CSI cameras, dual MIPI DSI and HDMI displays as well as rich connectivity features including Wi-Fi 802.11ac + BT 5.0, dual Ethernet, and optional 4G LTE. To further speed up development times, we have created the VIA SOM-9X35 Starter Kit, which includes a 13MP camera, 7” 1024 x 600 MIPI LCD + 7” Touch Screen, two speakers and microphone, and a complete set of accessories.
To facilitate the development of Edge AI applications we provide a choice of Android 10 and Yocto 3.1 BSPs and EVKs. You can download the documentation from the VIA SOM-9X35 and VIA SOM-9X50 product pages. A full range of software and hardware customization services is also available.
The market for AIoT systems and devices is still in the early stages of development. We are very optimistic about its long-term potential and are committed to further expanding our family of AIoT platforms based on the MediaTek Genio SOC to meet the full spectrum of performance and functionality needs of the commercial, retail, and industrial segments. Please feel free to contact us for further information about our plans.
